We all know electricity plays a major role in our everyday lives, and it is a powerful resource that should be respected. Unfortunately, our children often do not understand the dangers of electricity. At Alcorn County Electric Power Association, we encourage you to share electrical safety tips and lessons with your little ones as often as possible. We also understand their attention spans run short, so here are a few creative ways to get them involved. Depending on the age of your child, consider designating an “electronics deputy.” The deputy should be responsible for pointing out electronics in your home that are not in use and keeping appliances safe from liquids. A letter from the ACE Board of Directors to the ACE Membership

By | September 30th, 2015|News|0 Comments

The ACE Board knows that the vast numbers of the ACE members truly appreciate and are satisfied with their electrical service. We understand that you would all love to pay less for this necessity of our lives, but we believe that it is our duty to demand that ACE’s reliability and state of the art service cannot be under funded in today’s world. The original Board of Directors in 1934 expected the “Corinth Experiment” to work, and it definitely has been a tremendous success. There are now approximately 1,000 Rural Electric Cooperatives serving over 80% of the landmass of the United States. Most of them do not have the low rates that we have, but [...]
